The DWDA will be expanded by 0.6 acres in order to provide additional storage until a
new DWDA can be permitted.
Runoff from the DWDA will be routed to culvert C13 via ditches D12 and D14. It is
assumed that half of the runoff from the 0.6 acre expansion will go to D12, and half will
go to D14.
Ditches 12 and 14 have been designed for the 100 -year, 24 -hour event. Ditches 12
and 14 as currently approved (per TR -60) have adequate capacity to safely pass the
runoff from the DWDA expansion. The revised SedCad design for each ditch follows.
Table 21 lists C13 as 21" culvert, however, a field locate determined that it is actually a
24 ", therefore, C13 has adequate capacity to handle additional flow from the DWDA
expansion. Culvert C13 has been designed for the 10 -year, 24 -hour event. C13 has
requires an HW /D = 1.1 in order to convey to design flow.
Until this point, a curve number of 94 has been used for the DWDA. For this analysis,
the CN will remain 94, however, 90 is generally accepted by the Division for refuse and
will be used for hydrologic analyses pertaining to refuse in the future.
ENGINEER'S CERTIFICATION
The calculations and inf
with a date of 04/20/1
correct to the best of
Exhibit 19(23)
DWDA Expansion
Tammer "'p3;' p Date
Registered Pro ngineer
State of Colorado No. 43402
ed on pages EXH. 19(23) -1 through 19(23) -11
me, and the information presented is true and
lief.
4 - Lc= -1z
MR -112 EXH 19(23) -1 4 -20 -2012
