Please use the space below to describe as required by Rule 5.6(1)(c) any new prospecting activity that occurred during
the preceding year, including the locations and number of new surface drill holes, mud pits, excavations, rock dumps,
adits, shafts, trenches, pits, roads and structures. If applicable, you must also describe the measures taken to safeguard
shafts, adits and other mine openings from unauthorized entry both during and after prospecting. Additional pages
should be attached if needed.
There were no new surface holes, mud pits, excavations, rock dumps, adits, shafts, trenches, pits, roads, or
structures since the last report.
In the last several summers, we had suspended onsite exploration work, trying to stay out of the way of the
Arco on -site environmental activities connected with assessing and remediating conditions associated with
historic Rico - Argentine Mining Company and Anaconda activities, under the Unilateral Administrative Order
issued to Arco by EPA.
Beginning this summer, as ARCO's activities have tapered down to flow monitoring and similar work, we
cleaned up and secured the areas in and around the NOI to provide enhanced security, safety, and
erosion /contamination control.
This included retaining an environmental engineering firm for development and submittal of a Rico Argentine
VCUP Maintenance Plan to CDPHE for maintenance of the areas under Outlook ownership or control, and
then Outlook executed the elements of the plan. We also filed a Maintenance Activities Report with CDPHE
following this work. This area included fencing and access control to keep vehicles off the tailings area cap,
replacing compromised cap material with imported rock, and re- vegetation of affected areas with a
biosol/humate /seed mix.
Other work which was done in onsite areas near and within the NOI area include:
Removed all trash and scrap from inside the Shop Building, mine yard, Silver Creek drainage from Blaine to
below culvert crossing, across Silver Creek to South, and adjacent to Mill building on East and North sides,
and hillside above yard area and adits area. (total scrap and trash removal was approximately 180CV)
Installed additional closures and hundreds of feet of concrete filled pipe /cable fencing with a reinforced gate
and signage along the main access road. Reclosed and reposted all secondary roads leading into the site with
upgraded closures and signage
