Status Report, Robinson Seep Investigation Climax Molybdenum Company
4.0 HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY ESTIMATES, MONITORING WELL
EVMWAS
Slug tests were completed on monitoring well EVMW -1S during the August 2014 field
investigation. The mean hydraulic conductivities were 4x10-4 centimeters per second (cm /s),
which represent normal observed values in unconsolidated material and crystalline rocks
(Domenico and Schwartz, 1990). The transmissivity was estimated directly by one individual slug
test method but the value can be calculated by multiplying the hydraulic conductivity by the
saturated thickness of the aquifer. A saturated thickness equal to the distance from the static
water level to the bottom of the well produces a mean transmissivity value of 1.8 meters squared
per day (m2 /d).
Tetra Tech November 2014
