With the present visit to the site, no changes were noted. The site remains in the same
condition as the 2011 recording.
Evaluation and Management Recommendation
With regard to the seven aspects of integrity, the 2011 recording demonstrated that the
site only retained integrity in the form of Location (the cow camp is in the same location as
originally constructed). The site does not reflect/retain integrity of Design (the original design
of the structures has been compromised over time with the maintenance and upkeep of the
property without regard to the historic feeling and preservation of the structures), Materials
(modem materials have been used to maintain and expand the structures over time),
Workmanship (does not convey a particular craft or culture of a given period in history),
Feeling (the modern additions, maintenance, and upkeep of the property has affected the
historic sense of a particular period of time; and Association (the camp is associated with a
particular family, however, there is no direct link between that family and any specific
important events or persons). Location alone is not sufficient to support eligibility of this
property for listing on the NRHP. On 3/5/2012 the State Historic Preservation Officer declared
the site to be officially not eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
Accordingly, no further work is recommended.
Figure 3.
