SUMMARY OF FILES SEARCH Files searches were made through the Uncompahgre Field Office of the BLM and the Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation of the Colorado Historical Society. These indicated that six previously recorded sites (5DT88, 5DT90, 5DT96, 5DT698, 5DT699, and 5DT1719) occur within the inventory block. Within a mile, numerous projects have been conducted and many sites have been recorded. Table 1 provides a list of the previous projects conducted within about 1 mile of the project area and Table 2 lists previously recorded sites. Additionally, BLM General Land Office records and maps were reviewed. These records indicated that several people had filed for land within the project area (Table 3). Table 1.
