A7COLORADO
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
November 13, 2014
Mr. Russell Painter
1761 Pikes Peak Dr.
Florissant, CO 80816
RE: Amazonite #VIII, File No. M- 2014 -042; Financial Warranty Estimate
Dear Mr. Painter:
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has completed its financial warranty estimate for
your 110(1) Hard Rock Limited Impact Operation reclamation permit application. The Division has estimated a
total financial warranty of $3,300.00. The Division has been informed by the US Forest Service (USFS) that
they hold a reclamation bond for this site in the amount of $1,257.00. As such, when all adequacy issues have
been addressed by the Applicant, the Division can approve the application and the remaining financial warranty
($2,043.00) will need to be provided to the Division. The attached estimate is provided for your review.
Please note the only remaining adequacy issue is related to the Legal Right of entry to perform mining and
reclamation activities. In this instance, the Division requires an approved Plan of Operations (POO) from the
USFS to support the Legal Right of Entry. It is the Division's understanding that the USFS expects to be able to
approve the Poo in late December 2014.
The decision date for this application is January 15, 2015. Please be advised that if you are unable to
satisfactorily address any concerns identified in this review before the decision date, it will be your
responsibility to request an extension of the review period. If there are outstanding issues that have not been
adequately addressed prior to the end of the review period, and no extension has been requested, the Division
will deny this application.
If you have any questions, please contact me (303- 866 -3567 ext. 8169).
Sincerely,
Timoth Cazier, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist
Enclosures
ec: Tom Kaldenbach, DRMS
Amy Titterington, USFS
DRMS file
e —c
O
\0
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http: / /mining.state.coms ( * **
John W.
