Stover & Associates on behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL). Based on
our review of the reports, we have the following comments:
General Comments
1. The waste bank report indicates that approximately 316,766 tons of gob were
hauled to the gob piles during the quarter. This is a 20% increase in gob production
over the first two quarters of this year, and is 50% higher than the 2013 quarterly
gob production average. The Division previously required BRL (with the PR -14
approval and 2014 Midterm Review) to provide a plan for the disposal of refuse that
will be generated over the remaining life of mine (through Spruce Stomp lease area
mining). BRL will need to consider this increase in gob production when
determining the required capacity of refuse disposal areas for the remaining life of
mine.
Material Balance
2. The report includes a statement that the available volume of coverfill material is
sufficient to meet the requirements of Rule 4.10.4(5) and the material balance in the
co
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http: / /mining.state.co.us
John W.
