Brown, Sr. Environmental Protection Specialist
Re: 5DT1053, King Mine, Additional Structural Recording in Delta County, CO for
Bowie Resources, LLC. [GRI 2013 -52]
Dear Ms. Brown:
At the request of Bowie Resources, LLC [as represented by J.E. Stover and Associates],
Grand River Institute conducted the recording of an additional feature, a stone wall, within the
original site boundary at 5DT1053, the King Mine. The wall is visible on a 1930 photograph
of the town of Bowie and at some point had become completely buried in coal tailings and was
concealed at the time of the original site recording. The feature was recently discovered due to
work on a drainage ditch below the feature that exposed the wall. Enclosed is a site revisit form
documenting this now exposed feature. No further work is recommended with regard to this
site. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any concerns.
Sincerely,
''W I - &,,,-
Carl E.
