Oakridge purchased all surface and a 75 percent undivided interest to the coal on the permit property. A 25 percent undivided interest in the mineral estate has been severed and is appropriately conveyed to OEI. Copies of the right of entry information are located in Appendix 3 -2. 2.03.7 Relationship to Areas Designated Unsuitable for Mining The area of the proposed activity is not partially or wholly within an area designated unsuitable for surface coal mining operations under Rule 7 or 30 CFR 764; neither are the lands under consideration for designation in an administrative proceeding under Rule 7 or 30 CFR 764 and 765. 2.03.8 Permit Term Information Surface coal mining operations began in the first quarter of 1983 and subsequently ceased operating temporarily pending more economical coal markets. No further coal mining will occur at the Carbon Junction Mine under this permit. Final reclamation of the mine site commenced in April 2006 and was completed in August 2006, with completion of sediment control system reclamation in 2009. 2.03.9 Personal Injury and Insurance Information OEI maintains insurance in an amount no less than that required by current CDRMS regulations. A revised copy of the current insurance policy binder is forwarded to the Division upon each policy renewal.
