Watterson <br />Twentymile Coal Company <br />29515 Routt County Road #27 <br />Oak Creek, CO 84067 <br />RE: Twentymile Coal Company, Permit C- 1982 -056 <br />Third Quarter 2014 Sediment Pond Inspection Report Review <br />Dear Mr. Watterson: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety ( CDRMS) has reviewed and found the above <br />referenced report to be in compliance with the following CDRMS regulation: <br />4.05.9(17) - Examined at least quarterly by a qualified person designated by the operator, for <br />appearance of structural weakness and other hazardous conditions. <br />4.05.9(17) - A copy of the report shall be submitted to the Division on a quarterly basis. <br />The third quarter sediment pond inspection reports were received by the Division on 10 October 2014. <br />Sediment pond inspections were conducted by TC during the last week of September 2014. <br />It is noted that maintenance items conducted include: Flume replacement at Pond B, flume was leveled <br />and cemented at Pond D, sediment delta at west end of Pond D was partially dredged, sediment delta at <br />the inlet of Pond E was dredged, Pond G wier was cemented, Pond F flume was leveled and cemented, a <br />portion of the FCT Pond drainage channel was dredged, wood was cleared at the flume of the Area #1 Pit, <br />and alternate silt control material was installed at the slope of the 6MN Sediment Pond. Maintenance <br />items required include: cleaning of discharge sump at Pond C. These items reflect maintenance issues <br />noted in the Division's inspection reports. <br />If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
