October 22, 2014C-1981-019/Colowyo Coal MineRDZ <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br />No problems were seen at the main facility area. The drainage problem seen in previous inspections at the <br />West Pit Fuel Island (a cut in the berm was allowing runoff to flow onto a reclaimed area) had been repaired. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS –Rule 4.02: <br />Buffer Zone signs are needed along the Taylor Creek road where berms have been brokenfor drainage. <br />SPECIAL CATEGORIES OF MINING –Rules 4.22 through 4.27: <br />In the West Pit the high wall miner was near the east end of the pit, working in the D2 seam. <br />TOPSOIL –Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Several topsoil stockpiles were inspected, and no issues were seen.
