An on-the-ground <br />inspection was conducted by Rob Zuber on both days, and aerial photographs of the site were taken by Harry <br />Ranney on the 23rd. Rob Zuber reviewed the photographs and compiled this report the following week. The <br />Colowyo employee who participated in the on-the-ground field inspection was Kurtis Blunt. The weather was <br />clear. The ground was slightly muddy. <br />In the South Taylor Pit, the 103 dragline ismoving material in the east end of pit, the 115 was seen in the north <br />center of the pit, and the F6 overburden was being drilled. <br />In the West Pit, highwall mining operations were seen. <br />BACKFILL and GRADING –Rule 4.14 <br />Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br />Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br />In the East Pit reclamation area, 2014 grading has been nearly completed with dozers in reclamation parcel <br />EP057. <br />In the South Taylor Pit, the 103 dragline is still filling in the initial cut (east end of pit). <br />EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE –Rule 4.09 <br />Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br />The West Taylor Fill was viewed from the pond below and in the aerial photos. No erosion or other <br />problems were identified with the fill.
