The Division found several data points that are missing
that will need to be submitted prior to the Division completing its review of the report.
1.) All of the groundwater monitoring wells listed on Table 1; "Ground Water, Water Well
Sampling ", in Exhibit 29 of the permit; required to be sampled annually for the D List
parameters were missing the results for the following constituents in the 2013 Hydrology
Monitoring Data tables: Hardness(Total), Bicarbonate, Arsenic, Zinc and Boron. Please provide
this information.
2.) The Williams Fork Mines entered temporary cessation during the 3rd Quarter of 2013. Thus,
Moffat County Mining (MCM) was required to monitor in accordance with the active mining
status procedure for the first two quarters. The following wells were missing water level
measurement data for the first quarter of 2013: wells 83 -01, 83 -02, 83 -03 and 84 -01. Please
supply this information.
3.) MCM did not report the flow rate at the required frequency at both the surface water monitoring
sites along the Williams Fork River (NAT- and WF -2). Please supply this information.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me at (303) 866 -3567, extension 8120.
Sincerely,
Jared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http: / /mining.state.co.us
John W.
