The pond inspections were conducted in compliance with
Rule 4.05.9(17) and the report was submitted in a timely manner. No potential hazards were identified
in the report. Following are the Division's questions and comments on the report:
1. The October 22, 2014 report lists the bottom elevation for Pond C as 5,990', consistent with the
design information for the pond on Map 22 -C. The water level reported for Pond C on September
23, 2014 was 5,945'; 45' below the bottom elevation of the pond. Please provide the correct water
elevation for Pond C recorded on September 23, 2014.
2. In the October 22, 2014 report, the bottom elevation of Pond D is reported to be 5,970'. Drawing
No. 95266 -04 of Volume IV of the approved permit application package indicates that the bottom
elevation is 5,972'. Please either correct the reported bottom elevation to be consistent with the
approved design or verify the reported bottom elevation of 5,970
3. The reported water level of Pond D on September 23, 2014 is 5,994'. Drawing No. 95266 -04 of
Volume IV of the approved permit application package indicates that the sediment pond crest
elevation is 5,982', and the maximum pool /spillway elevation is 5979.7'; the reported water level is
12' over the crest of the dam. Please provide the correct water elevation for Pond D recorded on
September 23, 2014.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Susan L.
