Please provide an update regarding any Snowcap Coal Co., Inc.
activities to assess and mitigate the situation.
DRMS remains concerned that immediate action is needed. Unless DRMS can be assured today that that there
is no risk to public health and safety, we will need to notify CDOT and any other potentially impacted entities of
the situation. If necessary, these notifications will occur later today.
DRMS is again requesting that Snowcap implement any actions necessary to safely assess and mitigate the
water accumulation at the South Portal mine seal, and we reiterate our message of last evening.
Please advise at you earliest opportunity.
Thank you,
David Berry
https: //m ai l.googl e.com /m ai I /u/0 / ?ui =2 &i k= b46be11 b9e&vi ew= pt &search = i nbox &th= l46bO63dfd2l2538&si m l= 146bO63dfd2l2538 1 /1
