§2.04 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE OR UNDERGROUND MINING
ACTIVITIES -- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR INFORMATION ON
ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES.
2.04.1 Objective.
2.04.2 Responsibilities.
No response required.
No response required.
2.04.3 General Requirements: Site Description and Land Use Information
(1) The gently sloping transitional lands upon which the train loadout and
stockpile currently operate are lands that were disturbed by mining before
these permitting requirements were promulgated.
(2) Condition and Capability of the Land.
i
(1) Map of Pre-mining conditions.
The train loadout and stockpile permit area is located in Delta
County where there are no land use classifications. The train
loadout and stockpile area, where orchards are adjacent, can be
classified as cropland more specifically, orchard land. Historically,
this area has been used as such and some of the area
immediately surrounding the train loadout is still in orchard
production. However, in recent years there has been a trend
towards removal of orchards in favor of irrigated cropland.
Cropland means land used for the production of adapted crops for
harvest, alone or in rotation with grasses and legumes.
•
TR-20
2.04 - 1
3/01
