(EFCI), 115 E. Main Street, Ste. 10, P.O. Box 459, Florence, Colorado 81226, has filed an approval request for Technical Revision No.41 (TR -41) with the State of Colorado, Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS). All mining operations subject to this permit have ceased, and only reclamation and monitoring activities are occurring. Areas addressed by the TR -41 Request are lo- cated at the former Southfield Loadout site approximately one (1) mile west of Florence Colorado on County Road 79. Given that the original vegetation Reference Area was dam- aged by unknown parties, TR -41 relocates the required vegetation Reference Area to the north west boundary of the East Loadout site. No disturbance to the site is required, only clipping and study of the vegetation is required for comparison studies to verify successful reclamation of the site. The Southfield Loadout area is located approximately one mile west of Florence, Colorado, on County Road 79. The Loadout area is bounded on the west by Oak Creek, and County Road 79 bisects the Loadout site from south to north. The Southfield Loadout permit area is located on portions of the following sections: Sections 17 and 18; Township 19S; Range 69W, 6th Principal Meridian These sections are shown on the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Canon City quadrangle map. A complete copy of the Southfield Permit Application is on file and available for public inspection in both the Clerk and Recorders Office in the Fremont County Courthouse, Canon City, Colorado, and the DRMS offices located at the following address: Colorado Department of Natural Resources Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 Denver, Colorado 80203 Phone: (303) 866 -3567 Additional information regarding the subject application may be obtained at the DRMS.
