Scott Cowman of Peabody Energy accompanied the inspection.
The weather was clear and the ground was dry at the time of the inspection. During the review of the SL -6
application and the bond release inspection, it was noted that the groundwater monitoring wells were in place and
were not reclaimed. Seneca Coal Company sealed and abondoned the wells and this inspection was conducted to
confirm that the wells have been adequatly reclaimed.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
The pads associated with wells SW -41 and SOV -41 is stable with good vegetation. The pad is located in close
proximity to an established ranch road which shows lighter vegetation establishment than the main reclamation
area. Both sites are sealed and plugged with concrete and a t -post marker was located on each hole.
No problems were noted with the sites.
SW -41
SOV -41
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of 3
