When one or more ontfnf(s <br />gtmlifies forpast-mining (unitntions on atis basis, the permittee cnn cantnct dte Division and request that limitntioasjar ate eppficabfe batfall(s) be changed ropost-mining <br />limitations. <br />Previously, an Internal Outfall, numbered 001, existed as the discharge point from a domestic wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) to <br />Pond 3, which is the third pond in a series from which Outfa11002 discharges. This Internal Outfall has ceased to exist with the demolition <br />ofthe WWTFaspart ofreclamation activities, thus Outfa11001 will no longer be authorized. Additionally, Bowie Resources LTD, through <br />iu permit application, has changed the name of the Bowie No. 1 mine site to Bowie No. 1 Enst, which is the name reflected in this <br />permitting action. <br />The discharges go to East Roatcap Creek, which rs within Segment S, North Fork ofthe Gunnison RiverSub-basin, Gunnison and Lower <br />Dolores Rivers Basin; also to Stevens Gulch, an unnamed ditch, and Farmers Ditch, all ofwhich are within Segment 6, North Fork ofthe <br />Gunnison River Sub-basin, Gunnison and Lower Dolores Rivers Basin. The applicable classifications and standards are found in the <br />Classii<catians and Numeric Standards for the Gunnison and Lower Dolores Rivers Basin (Regulation No. 35), effective February 10, <br />2002. Segment S is not designated and is therefore a reviewable water, and is classed for the following uses: Recreation, Class /b; <br />Aquatic Life, Class 1 (Cold); Water Supply; and Agriculture. Segment 6 is designated Use Protected and rs classed for the following <br />uses: Recreation, Class Ib; Aguah'cLife, Class 1(Warm); Water Supply; and Agriculture. TheDivuion evaluatedthisfaciliryonJune20, <br />2003, and determined that there are no increased impacts to the receiving stream(s) that would result from this permitting action, and <br />therefore an antidegradatian review was not required pursuant to the regulations. <br />None ojthe five Outfnlls have discharged during the previous two yens. In fact, only Outfa11006 has discharged during the previous five <br />years. Discharge occurred fi•am Outfall 006 during the first calendnr quarter of 1998, and no ecceedences were reported. <br />
