(Tri- State), is the parent company to
Axial Basin Coal Company, which is the general partner to Colowyo Coal Company L.P. Therefore, Tri-
State on behalf of Colowyo is submitting the Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety
(Division) Coal Exploration Drill Hole or Well Abandonment Report.
Enclosed you will find the Division's Coal Exploration Drill Hole or Well Abandonment Report
for LW- 05 -15. An abandonment report was originally submitted for this drill hole on October 13, 2006.
The drill hole was found to be open during your bond release inspection June 12 — 19, 2013, apparently as
a result of a collapse of the original plugging material. The drill hole was subsequently filled with an
additional six bags of bentonite chips. The amended report reflects the initial 27 bags of bentonite chips
along with the additional six — resulting in a total of 33 bags.
If you should have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Tony
Tennyson at 970 - 824 -1232.
Sincerely,
Chris S.
