Exhibit H
Wildlife Information
Williams/Illinois Gravel Pit
Wildlife,Terrestrial This proposed conversion of a mining operation would occur in
an area inhabited by a variety of wildlife including Rocky Mountain Elk,mule deer,
pronghorn, golden eagles, coyotes, badgers, and a variety of small animals and songbirds.
These species depend on the rangeland ecosystem during various seasons of the year.
This mining operation will temporarily displace wildlife, however sufficient area exist
adjacent to the proposed site to support the wildlife displaced by the gravel pit operation.
Threated and Endangered The project has Sage grouse in the area but the Sensitive
Species designation does not rovide for legal protection for sage grouse. The pit is
located in an area that is not defined as a winter habitat;however this operation would not
eliminate enough veggjt tion to adversely impact sage-grouse during the time in which
sand and gravel will be excavated from the site.
See Attached Documentation from Original 110 Permit Exhibit`B" (d).
