The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety received the 112 Hard Rock/Metal
Mining Reclamation Permit Amendment (AM-2) on May 27, 2014. The Division
extended the decision date and is currently reviewing AM-2. The new decision date is
now set for October 24, 2014.
RGS is currently determining the economics of the Bulldog Project through pre-
feasibility and feasibility studies. Until such studies determine project viability,
construction and operation of future components like water treatment, additional waste
rock storage, mining and milling operations and tailings disposal are not currently
envisioned. The EPP will be amended to include these future components once the
decision is made to construct such facilities.
New Disturbance
As part of the stormwater controls analysis for the EPP, it was determined that the
sediment fence at the base of the waste rock pile needed repair and that the sediment
trap immediately adjacent to the 9400 portal road needed to be expanded. The
sediment fence was repaired and the 9400 road sediment trap was expanded in May
2014 (Figure 1).
RGS submitted one Technical Revision in 2014, TR-23 — Core Storage Area near TP-2.
TR-23 was approved on October 1, 2014 and construction of the core storage area is in
progress at the time of this 2014 annual report. A total of 1.23 acres of new disturbance
is associated with TR-23. See Figure 2.
Reclamation
Monitoring of re-seeding efforts throughout the Bulldog Project was ongoing throughout
2014. No re-seeding was conducted from October 31, 2013 through October 31, 2014.
RGS personnel will continue to monitor these areas.
Weed spraying was conducted from October 8 through 15, 2014 on the following areas
showing signs of noxious weeds; North and west of the main gate, along the 9400 portal
roadway and the newly bermed topsoil area of the 9400 portal pad, see Figure 3. The
NW corner of TP-2 area, see Figure 4. A four gallon back pack weed sprayer was used
to apply the Milestone weed spray in order to control Canada thistle growth.
Other Items
Since the site is currently on Temporary Cessation, the security of site facilities is
monitored on a regular basis and gates to site entrances are kept locked (Figure 4).
Attached are the water levels of the three monitoring wells around the Bulldog site: BD-
MW, HW-3, and HW-4 (Refer to Figures 6 thru 8). Monitoring well locations are shown
in Figure 9.
Also attached are a general location map (Figure 10) and an updated Bulldog Facilities
map (Figure 11)for reference.
625 USFS Road 504.1A P.O.
