Exhibit B shows two different access routes, one north and one south. The
south access route uses existing roads (closed) for approximately 97% of the
route. This route encounters much fallen timber, stream crossings, and
washouts. This route is also longer. The north route uses existing roads (closed)
for approximately 50% of the route. There is very little fallen timber and no
stream crossings or washouts. This route is shorter, about one mile total length.
Both access routes begin at Matukat Rd. at parking areas. I encourage the
Forest Service to review these exhibits and visit the area in person for a
complete overall understanding of this proposal.
