NNW Notice
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, of the Colorado
Revised Statutes, hereby issues notice that on September 10, 2014, a minor revision application (MR -161)
to the Bowie No. 2 Mine, Permit No. C- 1996 -083, operated by Bowie Resources, LLC, P.O. Box 483,
Paonia, CO 81428 was considered complete for the purposes of filing. Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) is
proposing to install two temporary culverts near Topsoil Stockpiles "D" and `B" to allow for equipment
crossing during reclamation of Gob Piles #1 and #4. BRL has also requested relief from the requirement
to pock the replaced topsoil on Gob Piles #1, #2, and #4. This will ensure that limited topsoil resources
are not contaminated by subsoil material. The applicant is not proposing additional surface disturbance
outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. All reviews and comment periods as provided in
the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this date of filing.
