Burgmaicr <br />Environmental protection Specialist <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />Department of Natural Resources <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />�t0 <br />) <br />Re: Bowie No. 2 Mine (Pernut No. C- 1996- 083),'1'echnical Revision No. 93 (1R -93), Gob pile #3 — East Dr}�ung <br />Area (CHS # 66672) <br />Dear Ms. Burgmaier: <br />Thank you for your correspondence dated September 18, 2014 (received by our office on September 22, 2014) <br />regarding the subject project. <br />After review of the documentation provided, it is our opinion that a finding of no historic properties affected (36 <br />CFR 800.4(d)(1)] is appropriate for the proposed technical revision. <br />The Section 106 consultation process does involve other consulting parties such as federal agencies including the <br />Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service; local governments; and Tribes which as stipulated in 36 CFR <br />800.3 are required to be notified of the undertaking. Additional information provided by these or other <br />consulting parties may cause our office to re- evaluate our comunents and recommendations. <br />Should unidentified archaeological resources be discovered nn the course of the project, work must be interrupted until <br />the resources have been evaluated in terms of the National Register of Historic Places eligibility criteria (36 CFR 60.4) <br />in consultation with our office. <br />Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
