Vallejo St. <br /> Englewood, CO 80110 <br /> RE: Alma Placer Mine; DRMS File No. M-1985-029; Approval of Proposed Corrective <br /> Actions <br /> Dear Mr. Murray, <br /> The Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(Division)has received your Report on <br /> Discharge of Suspended Clay from Alma Placer Mine in regard to the incident which occurred at <br /> the Alma Placer Mine on October 3, 2014. The Division has reviewed the proposed corrective <br /> actions and hereby authorizes the Operator to complete the following measures: <br /> l. Raise fresh water discharge pipe at Pond 4 to discharge at an elevation above the <br /> overflow pipe. <br /> 2. Install a check valve on the fresh water fill pipe; check valve to be located above ground. <br /> 3. Install signage at the valve which directs fresh water to either Pond 4 or the wash plant. <br /> 4. Provide additional training to employees on correct operation of pond systems and <br /> valves. <br /> 5.
