Area 1—This area appears to be a borrow source for previous work and was constructed prior to RGS
acquiring the property and topsoil was not salvaged. Reclamation of this site will include re-contouring
of the cut bank back to low angle, nearly previously disturbed topography, left in a roughened state
and re-seeded with USFS approved seed mix.
2. Road to Area 2—Topsoil will be stripped and salvaged as a berm on the uphill side of the road cut.
Reclamation of the road cut will include re-contouring to previous topography, replacement of the
topsoil in a roughened state by disking or ripping and re-seeding with USFS approved seed mix.
3. Area 2—Topsoil will be stripped and salvaged as berms on the west, north and east sides of the area.
Reclamation will be the same as the road cut with the area being re-contoured to previous topography,
replacement of topsoil in a roughened state by disking or ripping and re-seeding with USFS approved
seed mix.
4. The southeast corner of Area 2 shown in Figure 2 of TR-23 is not correct. The southeast corner staked
in the field is 35 feet northwest of the power line. The minimum "safety zone" distance required by
the San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative is 14 feet. Attached are two corrected Figure 2-Rv1.
There is no change in the total acreage. Please replace the original Figure 2 with the new Figure 2-Rv1.
All reclamation will be monitored for re-vegetation success, erosion and noxious weeds. Fertilizer will be
utilized if needed to supplement vegetation. Noxious weeds will be addressed according to TR-IS,
Noxious Weed Control Plan.
625 USFS Road 504.1 A P.O.
