The decision date for TR-01 is October 17, 2014. DRMS has
reviewed TR-01 and has the following comments:
1. Please explain how the current proposed plan will prevent the spread of knapweed and thistle from the
unsprayed areas back into the sprayed locations. DRMS believes it would be beneficial to spray the entire
site at once to prevent the spread of knapweed and thistle.
2. DRMS had previously cited problems for weed control at the site. DRMS believes the current proposed
time frame for treating weeds is not adequate. Please provide a time frame that will result in the
eradication of weeds in approximately 2 years.
This concludes DRMS' preliminary adequacy review of this Technical Revision. Please remember that the
decision date for TR-01 is October 17, 2014. As previously mentioned, if you are unable to provide satisfactory
responses to any inadequacies prior to this date, it will be your responsibility to request an extension of time to
allow for continued review of this Technical Revision. If there are still unresolved issues when the decision
date arrives and no extension has been requested, the Technical Revision will be denied.
If you need additional information please contact me at the Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety, 1313
Sherman St.,Room 215,Denver,CO 80203,by telephone at 303-866-3567,extension 8131,or by email at
Tyler.ODonnell(&state.co.us.
Sincerely,
opwr, ftL
Oyler O'Donnell
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: / Tom Kaldenbach,DRMS
Gary Tuttle,Tuttle and Associates
01Fco
K4' y
O
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215,Denver,CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
John W.
