It was <br /> our intent to obtain the Class A Biosolids from the Fruita Treatment plant which is <br /> adjacent to our pit. I reached out to Terry Anderson, plant manager, to help me address <br /> your questions and concerns regarding the proposed use of Class A Biosolids. <br /> • Please submit laboratory analysis of the Class A biosolids that are <br /> proposed to be imported and used for reclamation. Specifically, include <br /> heavy metals, pH, nitrate / nitrite and any other constituents that may be of <br /> concern. <br /> o Response — See attached Exhibit A documenting compliance of the <br /> 503 Biosolids Regulations. (Class A exceptional Quality Biosolids) <br /> • Per Rule 3.1.6, in the event that toxic materials were/are brought onto site <br /> what measures are to be implemented to protect the hydrologic balance or <br /> the affected land and surrounding area? <br /> o Response — There are no toxic materials contained in our Biosolids. <br /> • Please provide a detailed description of the contents of the Class A <br /> Biosolids that will be used within the permit area. Provide the <br /> recommended application rate per acre and the proposed application <br /> method. <br /> o Response —See attached Exhibit A. (see 503 regulation on <br /> internet)Application rate = 4 dry tons per acre. Application Method <br /> = Harrow rake and or tilling. <br />
