The purpose of the additional
storage is to improve our ability to react to unanticipated situations as they may arise.
The added material moved for these ponds will increase the volume of material moved during
reclamation. The material volume (subsoil) will increase by 2154 CY (Task #212) and the
topsoil volume will increase by 1000 CY (Task #215).
The perimeter fence also will increase in length by 200 feet to a total of 3200 feet.
The SedCAD model was changed since the Last Chance Pond spillway design was changed to
incorporate the emergency spillway with the primary spillway.
If you have any further questions please contact me at 970 - 675 -4322.
Thanks.
Sincerely,
Scott Wanstedt
Environmental Engineer
swanstedt@deserado.com
enc:
cc: Jeff Dubbert
Paul Daggett — BLM
