r^"
1)Water will be used for mixing cement and using a jackleg drill. A 5-300 gallon tank will be used transported up the hill
for supplying water.
2) The entire operation is on existing talus slope;back6ll,reshape,and reseeding will be done as needed for all holes,
pits and excavations associated with mining exploration operations. Any disturbed sites will be stabilized during and
after construction to control erosion and mass wasting, and minimal surface water will be diverted and dissipate into the
talus.
3)There is no known discharge from the mine. Discharge and water permits in place with the Alma Watershed,City of
Alma,Colorado.
4) Stabilization, grading and seeding will be conducted as needed at the culmination of the season.
5)N/A
C. Solid Wastes. Describe the quantity and the physical and chemical characteristics of solid waste produced by the operation.
Describe how the wastes will be disposed of including location and design of facilities,or treated so as to minimize adverse impacts.
The amount of waste rock which would be produced over the 5 year life for this proposal is approximately 24,000 tons.
The waste rock is primarily Precambrian granite/gneiss with lesser Tertiary porphyry intrusives. These rocks host
mineralized vein pockets which often carry crystallized specimens. The waste impoundment resembles the current
topography and talus slope.
All trash and litter will be removed from the property. Any food will be properly contained to eliminate interaction with
wildlife,especially bears.
Human waste will be removed from the property. A portable sanitary facility is proposed and would be secured with the .
storage shed. This would be removed upon completion of the project.
D. Scenlc Values. Describe protection of scenic values such as screening, slash disposal,or timely reclamation.
No known disturbances to Scenic Values are being proposed with these operations. The mine can not be seen from the
road. Waste Rock Impoundment would not be visible unless on the property. Trail access would be gated to prevent
any unauthorized entrance to the mine property.
k
(if more space is needed w fill out a block ofinformadon, use additional sheers and attach form)
-6-
