contaminant rejection.
• This will be a pilot scale test. The product will be added to the 2nd and 3rd Cleaner
Concentrate Launder at total dosage of approximately 60 cc/min.
• We plan to bring in one tote (275-gallon)for this test. The tote will be located under the
Cleaner circuit.
• At a 60 cc/min dosage rate, we anticipate the testing to last approximately 10 days.
Collector Dispersant TERGITOL NP-4 SURFACTANT
• This product is an oil dispersant. It will be tested by mixing with the oil-based, primary
collector Nalco 9866. The purpose is to disperse the collector into small droplets to increase the
collection efficiency of Nalco 9866.
• The mixing ratio will be 1-liter NP-4 with one tote of the primary collector.
• For this test, we are planning to use 4-liters NP-4 with four totes of primary collector.
• The totes will be located at the primary cyclone deck, where NP-4 will be manually mixed
with the collector. The collector will then be added to the primary cyclone underflow at the usual
dosage.
• We anticipate that the test will last for approximately 4 days.
The tests could deviate slightly from that described above based on operational and testing conditions. Please
let me know if you have any questions on the upcoming testing. I am also completing a revision to the EPP that,
among other updates, includes the chemicals mentioned in my September 5 email to you. We hope to have that
completed and submitted to you next week.
Thank you,
- Ray
Raymond Lazuk
Environmental Manager
Climax Molybdenum Company - Climax Mine
Highway 91 - Fremont Pass
Climax, CO 80429
Office: 719-486-7584
Cell: 719-201-1282
raymond_lazuk@fmi.com
