GRAND GRAVEL PIT, LLC <br /> Noxious Weed Control Plan <br /> Grand Gravel has meet with Grand County weed Control to identify and develop a control plan <br /> for the YUST GRAVEL pit in Kremmling, CO. The control plan will be in order to control the <br /> invasion and spread of noxious weeds. A management plan will be employed at YUST <br /> GRAVEL PIT including preventative, chemical and mechanical controls. The plan in place <br /> addresses the operations plan by Grand Gravel Pit, LLC , as needed, to control and precent the <br /> infestation of the following noxious weeds identified on the subject property by Grand County <br /> Weed Control: <br /> Canada Thistle Musk Thistle Common Mullein <br /> Current Weed Mitigation <br /> 1. The site is mowed as necessary. <br /> 2. A management program has been initiated for this site, based upon a site evaluation of the <br /> Grand County Weed Control personnel (a qualified vegetation manager). <br /> 3. It was confirmed that mowing, pulling and plowing would eliminate Musk Thistle and <br /> Common Mullein and that a spraying method would need to be used for Canada Thistle. <br /> Majority of the YUST GRAVEL pit site is Rangeland and contains NO noxious weeds. <br /> 4. Contacts of certified/qualified weed control professionals was provided by Grand County <br /> Weed Control. Grand Gravel will employ a qualified professional throughout the life of the <br /> pit. <br /> FUTURE Weed Mitigation <br /> 1. The site will be assessed each year in the spring throughout the life of the pit. The <br /> assessment will determine the course of the weed management for that season to best <br /> mitigate and control target species. <br /> 2. A combination of mowing and herbicide treatments will be utilized to control weeds <br /> • Mowed as necessary to establish new grass growth and control weeds <br /> • Mowing will be done as necessary and in conjunction with spraying to minimize <br /> spreading seed. <br /> 3. Herbicides will be applied to established vegetative areas in accordance with <br /> recommendations by county weed control coordinators <br /> 4. The site will be evaluated in late summer or fall of each year throughout the life of the pit to <br /> determine additional necessary treatments. Evaluated for re-seeding or if additional grass- <br /> seeding is required <br /> 5.
