SECTION 5.0 Topsoil Stockpile Locations
Trapper's approved permit (Section 4.9.2) specifies that CDRMS will be provided with map(s) illustrating
the location of topsoil stockpiles constructed during the previous year and the approximate locations for
stockpiles proposed for construction during the upcoming year (Map 1).
Table 5 -1 lists all existing stockpiles with their identification nomenclature, coordinates (based on the
approximate center of the pile), acres, construction date and volume; which is updated annually.
During 2013, Trapper depleted two existing piles; A88 -1 and Z1 -09 for topsoil replacement. Topsoil piles
G2 -06, H93 -2, Z2 -07 and ZTS-4 either had topsoil added or removed from them during stripping and
laydown activities. Topsoil stripping and /or laydown work took place in Z -Pit, M -Pit, K -Pit and Ash Dump
areas.
At the end of 2013, excluding stockpiles abandoned with the approvals of MR -155 and TR -94, there are
58 existing topsoil stockpiles at Trapper affecting 153.8 acres and storing approximately 3,245,295 cubic
yards of salvaged topsoil.
Presently there are no proposed approximate locations for new topsoil stockpiles in 2014. Trapper is
planning to utilize existing topsoil stockpiles for the 2014 reclamation season.
GCR/BDN 2114
[Annual ReportIDRMS13RPT\13TSteM5-01
