The lease is for underground development <br />and production of federal coal reserves, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and <br />subject to the lease stipulations listed below. This decision makes available 8.02 million tons of <br />coal for recovery in the B seam. The Proposed Action is to lease approximately 1,790.2 acres of <br />federal coal in order to avoid bypass of the B seam reserves. <br />
