Photos were taken by Harry Ranney, and reviewed and <br />annotated by Marcia Talvitie. <br />The inspection occurred on the Friday immediately proceeding Labor Day weekend. Skies were <br />clear. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />• At King I (Photo 1), there was no visible activity. Equipment (excavator, articulated haul <br />truck and water truck) on site for work at the refuse pile was parked. <br />• Excess material produced in the construction of the realigned clean water diversion ditch has <br />been stockpiled temporarily on the southern end of the Fan Bench at King I (Photo 1). <br />• At King II (Photo 2), a highway truck was stationed at the truck scale, being loaded with coal <br />from the silos. Eleven other trucks were lined up along the haul road (Photo 3), awaiting <br />their turns to be loaded. <br />• The operator has been making good progress on reestablishing the coal storage pad at Stack <br />Tube No. 2 (Photo 2). <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures <br />4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments <br />4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The King I East and West ponds (Photo 1) were both retaining water, at levels to low for <br />discharge to occur.
