(EFCI) Southfield Mine — Permit No. C -81 -014 <br />Dear Rob Zuber: <br />This is in response to your second Adequacy Review letter dated July 3, 2014 concerning <br />Permit Renewal No. 6 (RN -06) for the Southfield mine. This letter format responds to items in <br />the same numerical order as those listed in the Division's 7 -3 -2014 Adequacy Review letter but <br />omits the numbered items determined as, "No further action required ". <br />1. As stated in previous adequacy responses, EFCI has verbally agreed with The Corley <br />Company as to mitigation of the Corley Well No. 119459, with ongoing negotiations, a formal <br />agreement is still pending. Pursuant to a final agreement, the PAP will be updated accordingly. <br />3. As stated in previous adequacy responses, drill holes MW -08 and MW -10 are scheduled <br />for sealing/reclamation along with the rest of the listed open drill holes that require reclamation. <br />Reclamation of the open bore holes is being scheduled for completion during 2014. Pursuant to <br />completion, the PAP will be updated accordingly. <br />10. EFCI needs to establish a replacement reference area or propose acceptable reclamation <br />success standards for the loadout and update applicable text in Section 2.04. 10 in the PAP. <br />Response: EFCI is in receipt of the Division's decision that Technical Revision No. 41 (TR -41) <br />as previously submitted was incomplete. Subsequently, evaluation of likeness comparison of <br />reference areas has been composed, approval letter from the surface landowner has been received <br />and accordingly, TR -41 is being resubmitted for the Division's review. <br />13. Section 2.05.3 of the PAP still requires edits to reflect the current <br />status of the ponds. Use language that is in the past tense format. <br />The current status of the ponds has been updated written in the past tense <br />format as requested.
