Compliance With Mine Plan - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />NN <br /> - Other - Special Categories Of Mining <br />NN <br /> - Processing Waste - Topsoil <br /> <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />This was a partial inspection of the Yoast mine site by Zach Trujillo and Clayton Wein of Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) conducted on August 21, 2014. No mine representative was present <br />during the inspection. The weather was cloudy with intermittent rain with ground conditions moist from recent <br />rain events. Temperatures for the day during the inspection were around seventy degrees fahrenheit. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Pond 10 held water and was discharging at a light flow. Discharge was clear. Embankments were well vegetated. <br />No issues observed. <br /> <br />Ponds 11 and 11A were inspected. Both ponds are constructed along a steep hill slope in the north eastern section <br />of the permit boundary. Both ponds held water but were not discharging at the time of the inspection. Pond <br />embankments were stable and vegetated. The rip rapped channel between 11 and 11A was also stable. No signs of <br />erosion or cutting within the ditch. <br /> <br />Ponds 012 and 012A held water but neither pond was discharging. Both ponds held minimal water well below the <br />discharge point. No issues observed. The channel down the drainage is well armored with rock. No cutting or <br />erosion was noted along the length of the channel up to Pond 012. <br /> <br />Pond 014 was dry. No issues observed. <br /> <br />Stock pond ST-1 held minimal water. No issues observed. <br />
