No mine representative was
present during the inspection. The weather was cloudy with intermittent rain with ground conditions moist from
recent rain events. Temperatures for the day during the inspection were around seventy degrees fahrenheit.
FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18:
Deer were observed along the southern part of the permit boundary.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Sediment Pond 006 held water and was discharging at the time of the inspection. Pond embankments were well
vegetated and stable. The primary discharge outlet ditch was well armored to prevent erosion. No cuting or erosion
was observed at the outflow of water from Pond 006. The emergency spillway was well armored with no issues
observed. Discharge from the outlet was clear. Water was steadily flowing into the pond from each of the primary
inlet ditches. Recent storm events most likely contributed to the steady inflow of water.
Pond 0016 held water and was discharging. Water leaving the pond was clear. Spillways were stable and clear of
any debris. It appears recent maintenance near the primary spillway outlet has occurred leaving minor disturbance
running parallel to the outlet pipe. Within the disturbance, thistle was observed establishing itself.
Pond 005 held water but was not discharging at the time of inspection. No issues were observed.
Stock ponds T -2, 3, 5, 18, 20, 26 and 27 were inspected. Each pond held water with only one discharging. T -20
was discharging at the time of the inspection. Water from T -20 flows directly into Pond 005. No issues with any
stock pond were observed.
