PERMIT #: M- 2014 -033
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: August 20, 2014
OBSERVATIONS
This was a pre- operation inspection for the Four X Ranch Gravel Pit site conducted by Eric Scott of DRMS.
DRMS met permittee Martin Christensen and his permitting consultant Phil Brink at the site at approximately
10:30 on August 20, 2014. The site access is located on the east side of CR 21 approximately 1.4 miles north of
the intersection of CR21 and CR AA. The notice of permit applied for was posted at the site access location.
The site access road has not yet been started, and no site disturbance had taken place at the time of this
inspection. During this pre -op inspection the permit corners were marked by DRMS and Mr. Brink using
coordinates supplied by Mr. Brink and the Trimble Juno 3B GPS unit carried by DRMS (lat/long WGS 84). A
map depicting the corners as marked has been included with this inspection report. It may be worth noting that
the area defined by the corners as marked in the field is approximately 31.9 acres, while the permit acreage is
stated as 33.2 acres in the permit application. The temporary markers placed in the field during this inspection
should also be replaced as soon as possible with more substantial permanent corner markers.
No structures or utilities were observed within 200 feet (or greater) of the permit boundary, as the area is
comprised of open rangeland (see attached photos). No surface water or active drainages appear to be present
within the permit area, although there is an erosion gully near the SW corner of the permit. All permit adequacy
issues have been resolved at this time, and DRMS will approve the permit at the end of the public comment
period if no objections are received.
Inspection Contact Address
Martin Christensen
FOUR X RANCH, INC.
22915 County Road 23
Fort Morgan, CO 80701
Enclosure- Permit Boundary Map
CC: Phil Brink via e-mail
