Our experience has amply demonstrated that nurse crop and
mulching tend to remove the scarce moisture available. The
combination of rocky soils over chisled clay deposits yield
both wind and water protection from erosion and produce the
greatest success in the climatic conditions of the ar a along
the river banks and benches. Initially, the site will be
protected from livestock until the grass root systems are
well established.
