M-1996-064, TR
Dear Chris Rowe:
In response to the inspection of this site on June 11, 2014 and the report by the DRMS
dated June 16, 2014 Acme Brick Company would like to request a technical revision for
items 1 (Backfilling& Grading) and item 2 ( Gen. Compliance With Mine Plan).
1. Backfilling& Grading—There are four stock piles approximately 8,800 yards of
overburden which will be used for reclamation in the clay pit. The material will be
placed with scrapers and a dozer beginning at the toe of the wall and continually
added during all mining operations. This reclamation can occur in conjunction with
the mining process.
2. Gen. Compliance With Mine Plan—Acme Brick Company is requesting that the
allowable disturbed area be increased from 10 acres to 20.8 acres. Much of the
disturbed area is utilized for clay stock piles and loading trucks.
Please see attached photographs of reclaim material and weed spraying.
We hope the above information and attached supporting documentation are sufficient for
compliance with the recent DRMS requests for this revision. If you have any questions,
please contact Robert Tibbetts (720-244-4223), and I will be happy to assist the Division
with any additional desired information.
ncerely,
1
Robert Tibbetts
Mining Supervisor
