Limited - Results Archaeological Survey Form (Page 5 of 10) <br />Know Cultural Resources - In the project area (cont.): <br />In the eneral region (summarize): Within a mile of the project area, there are thirty -nine previously <br />documented archaeological sites: twenty -four of which are prehistoric, thirteen of which are <br />historic one which is multicomponent, and one which is not assigned to a time period. The historic <br />sites consist of agricultural complexes, habitations, trash dumps, and an irrigation ditch. The <br />prehistoric sites include lithic scatters and open camps. One stacked rock cairn site was not <br />assigned to a time period. The majority of these sites have been recommended not eligible to the <br />NRHP. Of the remaining sites, three are NRHP eligible, and ten are recommended "needs data ". <br />In addition, 127 isolated finds of artifacts have been documented. <br />Table 1.
