Therefore, exposure of <br />ground water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br />® The applicant has indicated plans to use ground water from an on -site well for the following purposes <br />at the permit site: ❑ evaporation, ® dust control, ❑ reclamation, ❑ water removed in the mined <br />product, ❑ processing, ® other: on -site industrial use and commercial sanitary purposes. <br />The well shall not be operated unless it is included in a substitute water supply plan approved by the <br />State Engineer or a plan for augmentation approved by the water court. <br />COMMENTS: The application seeks an amendment to add 108.5 acres to the current 167.5 permitted acres, for <br />a total permit area of 276 acres. Total disturbance at the site is limited to 167.5 acres under the current <br />bond. <br />The primary commodity to be mined at the site is limestone for construction and industrial processes. The site <br />is proposed to be reclaimed to its current use of wildlife habitat upon completion of mining operations. <br />The on -site well (WDID 0307878, permit no. 78348 -F) is included in the Pete Lien ft Sons, Inc. Substitute Water <br />Supply Plan approved by this office on August 7, 2014 for operations through July 31, 2015. The SWSP covers <br />depletions from pumping up to 9.47 acre -feet per year for dust control, on -site industrial, and commercial <br />sanitary use. <br />Well permit no. 78348 -F must continue to be included in a substitute water supply plan approved by the State <br />Engineer or a plan for augmentation approved by the water court until lagged depletions to the stream system <br />from pumping of the well have ceased. <br />The applicant may contact the State Engineer's Office with any questions. <br />OFCCp� <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 821, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3581 F 303.866.3585 www.water.state.Co.us <br />
