Tri -State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. (Tri- State) is the <br />parent company of Western Fuels- Colorado. The New Horizon North Mine operates under Colorado <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) Permit No. C- 2010 -089. <br />In accordance with Rule 4.07.3(3), Tri -State is submitting an abandonment report for the GW -N9 <br />well and Well No. 253229 on behalf of Western Fuels - Colorado. Both wells were abandoned on June 6, <br />2014 respectively. GW -N9 was a baseline monitoring well that was abandoned to facilitate installation of <br />sediment control features for future mining operations. Well No. 253229 was a domestic well that <br />serviced the Meehan property, and it will also be mined through by future operations. <br />Tri -State requests the Division calculate the adjustment in bond liability associated with <br />abandonment of the baseline monitoring well (GW -N9) as applicable. <br />Also enclosed, please find the well abandonment reports as completed by Himes Drilling.
