Bowie Re- sources, LLC (BRL) is proposing to reconfigure Gob Pile #3 to steepen the slopes from 3:1 to 2.5:1. Addi- tionally, BRL is proposing a revised drainage plan for the Gob Pile V disturbance area, including the e* pansion of Pond J. The proposA'L. does not include any new distu bance area, and will result In `.`s' decreased reclamation liability arid, required performance bond due to a reduction in structures previously approved to be constructed. The Bowie No. 2 Mine is a/an un- derground coal mine located in Delta County, approximately 5 miles NE of Paonia, Colorado. Coal interest is federal and private, and the surface affected is federal and private land. The permit area en- compasses approximately 9,196.50 acres. This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all re- quirements of the Colorado Sur- face Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34 -33 -101, et seq., C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereunder. Copies of the proposed decision, including stipulations, are on file for public inspection at the Colo- rado Division of Reclamation, Min- ing and Safety, Room 215, Centen- nial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203. Persons with an interest that may be ad- versely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the pro- posed decision.
