J46oL Laboratories, Inc.
2773 Downhill Drive Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 (800) 334 -5493
Peabody Sage Creek Mining, LLC August 01, 2014
Project ID: 451288047
ACZ Project ID: L19002
ACZ Laboratories, Inc. (ACZ) received 10 miscellaneous samples from Peabody Sage Creek Mining, LLC on June 19,
2014. The samples were received in good condition. Upon receipt, the sample custodian removed the samples from the
cooler, inspected the contents, and logged the samples into ACZ's computerized Laboratory Information Management
System (LIMS). The samples were assigned ACZ LIMS project number L19002. The custodian verified the sample
information entered into the computer against the chain of custody (COC) forms and sample bottle labels.
Any analyses not performed within EPA recommended holding times have been qualified with an "H" flag.
R h Y
These samples were analyzed for inorganic parameters. The individual methods are referenced on both, the ACZ invoice
and the analytical reports. The extended qualifier reports may contain footnotes qualifying specific elements due to QC
failures. In addition the following has been noted with this specific project:
1. This project has had all Selenium analysis matrix spiked to determine potential matrix interference. All recoveries were
within ACZ's and method acceptance criteria of 70 -130 %. Please review the QC Summary for specific recovery
information. In general the total recoverable fraction is biased higher than the equivalent dissolved due to the samples
matrix.
2. This project has been revised to report a re- analysis of Total Dissolved Solids on L19002 -07. It appears that an incorrect
dilution factor was originally reported.
3.
