Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The East Salt Creek was dry at the time of the inspection. <br />The Munger Creek culvert crossing remains stable. No erosion, cutting or piping was observed. The Munger <br />Creek was dry at the time of the inspection. <br />The single sediment pond at the site was also dry. Embankments were stable and well vegetated. The primary <br />spillway is a trickle tube pipe. The inlet and outlet of the primary spillway were clear of any debris with no issues <br />observed. On July 3, 2014, the Division approved TR -25 which approved the removal of the sediment pond. <br />The remaining haul road culverts were clear of any debris. No issues observed. <br />Silt fences were installed at the base of the topsoil pile across from the sediment pond as well as maintenance near <br />the reclaimed portal in the previous months. The silt fences remain stable and were properly installed. No signs of <br />cutting or erosion under the fences were observed. Additionally, TR -25 allowed for the future removal of these silt <br />fences. <br />Sediment pond and primary spillway. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />Silt fence below topsoil pile. <br />The mine identification sign was located at the mine entrance gate. All information for compliance was present. <br />Topsoil pile markers were visible on the topsoil pile across from the sediment pond. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />The topsoil pile is well vegetated and remains stable.
