<br />tutes, the Colorado Division of Minerals
<br />and Geology hereby issues notice that an
<br />application to renew the Deserado Mine
<br />Permit No. C- 1981 -018 for a five -year
<br />term, submitted by Blue Mountain Energy,
<br />Inc., 3607 CR 65, Rangely, CO 81648,
<br />was deemed complete for the purpose of
<br />filing. All review and comment periods
<br />as provided in the Act and Regulations
<br />promulgated thereunder initiate from this
<br />day of filing.
<br />The permit area contains some 12,770.76
<br />acres of federal coal lease and 13,645.01
<br />acres of surface area. These areas are
<br />situated in T2N, R101W and T3N, R101W,
<br />6th P.M. in Rio Blanco County about 8
<br />miles northeast of the Town of Rangely.
<br />It includes lands containing all of RBC
<br />Road 65, eastern part of RBC Road 96,
<br />and western portions of RBC Road 78,
<br />and southern end of MC Road 61. The
<br />Deserado Mine Permit area lies within
<br />USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps enti-
<br />tled "Rangely NE" and "Cactus Reservoir".
<br />A copy of the permit revision application
<br />is available for public inspection at the
<br />Town Clerk's office, Town Hall in Range-
<br />ly. Written comments, objections, re-
<br />quests for informal conference, or re-
<br />quests for a public hearing held in the lo-
<br />cality of the proposed mining operation
<br />for the purpose of determining whether
<br />the interests of the public and affected
<br />landowners will be protected concerning
<br />this application must be submitted to
<br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining
<br />and Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room
<br />215, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303)866-
<br />3567 within thirty (30) days of the last
<br />publication.
