Construction Project Number: FBR 0505-045 June 26,2014 Construction Subaccounts 18155 COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION OF WORK The Contractor shall commence work under the Contract on or before the 5`h day following Contract execution or the 20th day following the date of award,whichever comes later,unless such time for beginning the work is changed by the Chief Engineer in the "Notice to Proceed." The Contractor shall complete all work in 265 working days in accordance with the "Notice to Proceed." If materials stockpiling begins before the beginning date,contract time will not be charged for the stockpiling effort. Stockpiling of materials before the beginning date is subject to the Engineer's approval. If such approval is given, stockpiled material will be paid for in accordance with Sections 109 and 626. Section 108 of the Standard Specifications is hereby revised for this project as follows: Subsection 108.03 shall include the following: The Contractor shall use Microsoft Project or Primavera Software to develop and manage the critical path method schedule. The Contractor shall not proceed until the scheduled is reviewed and approved. Salient features to be shown on the Contractor's Progress Schedule are: (1) Notice to Proceed (2) Excavation and Embankment (3) Detour Pavement (4) Removal of Pavements (5) Aggregate Base Course (6) HMA Paving (7) Structure Removals (8) Structures (9) Drainage (10) Erosion Control (11) Signing and Striping (12) Guardrail (13) Any Item on the critical path The Contractor must schedule his work to compete the project within the time shown.The construction phasing plans are not included to limit the Contractor's work in any particular phase to only the work shown in the construction phasing plan. It may be necessary to perform work in multiple phases concurrently.The phases shown in the plans are intended to establish how traffic must be handled. The Contractor shall be responsible for scheduling and coordinating weekly project status meetings. These meetings shall include at a minimum the Project Engineer,Contractor's Superintendent,a representative from each active Sub-Contractor,and any affected parties deemed necessary for any phase of the work.The agenda shall be approved by the Engineer and shall be the standard agenda to be used for each meeting. The first meeting shall be held the first week of any active work including placement of construction signing. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the minutes of each weekly meeting. The minutes of the previous meeting and the agenda for the next meeting shall be submitted to the Engineer 3 days prior to the next meeting. 6
